These energy balls are packed full of nutrient dense ingredients, contain natural sugars and a little bit of caffeine (optional). Guaranteed to give you an extra boost of energy mid-morning or curb those evening cravings.
Energy Ball Recipe
150g rolled oats
150g ground almonds
2tbsp raw cacao
120ml of espresso (optional)
10 pitted dates
2tbsp real Maple syrup
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp chia seeds
3 tbsp desiccated coconut
1. Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
2. With a hand processor blend the dates, espresso, maple syrup and peanut butter together, until smooth. Then add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix together well.
4. The make the energy ball use a tablespoon to scoop of the mixture and with your hands form bite sized balls. Approx 14 balls.
5. Allow to set in the for 30 minutes in the fridge and then roll the energy balls in chia seeds and desiccated coconut.
